Timothy Faatz 2009

The 2012 tour will be my third trip to Ukraine with Evangelion Chorale. I just love the people that I have met in my past two tours, and I cannot wait to see old friends, and make some new friends. This tour is especially important to me as I have recently discovered that I have a familial heritage to Ukraine. My father's family were German-Russians who settled somewhere in the Odessa region during the reign of Catherine the Great. They eventually came to America and settled in South Dakota. Also, my maternal Grandfather was born in Kostopil (north of Rivne) at the end of the first World War (the Great War). At that time, it transitioned from Germany to Poland. After immigrating to Canada, the area became Ukraine. Knowing my connection to Ukraine, I have become even more interested in connecting with our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in Christ.
